Scott's Roof Carpentry is seeking a motivated and reliable First Year Carpentry Apprentice / Labourer to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
About Us
Scott's Roof Carpentry was established in February 2026 and specialises in roof carpentry services across Perth. We are currently completing projects throughout the metropolitan area, from Eglinton to Rockingham, and are subcontracted to Home Group, with over 10 years of industry experience.
With a small, supportive team of two, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in the construction industry and learn directly from an experienced tradesperson.
Position Details
Job Title: First Year Carpentry Apprentice / Labourer

Duties and Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced carpenters. Duties will include:
- Assisting with roof carpentry and construction tasks
- Carrying and handling timber and materials around worksites
- Learning how to safely operate power tools, including circular saws and nail guns
- Assisting with site preparation and clean-up
- Developing practical skills and industry knowledge throughout your apprenticeship
- Following workplace health and safety requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is aged between 16 and 21 years
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Is eager to learn and build a long-term career in the carpentry industry
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to work outdoors
- Can organise their own transport to and from work sites
- Holds a driver's licence or is currently working towards obtaining one (preferred but not essential)
